Are you passionate about social justice and eager to gain real-world experience? The Don Dunstan Foundation offers rewarding internship opportunities for students from various disciplines. Please note: Internships are typically undertaken for course credit, but we also consider voluntary placements.
We primarily partner with the Adelaide University and Flinders University, however, we are open to students from other institutions by special agreement.

Internship Pathways

We offer focused internship opportunities tailored to your interests and skills in the following areas:

  • Social Media, Marketing & Resource Development Internship: Support our online presence and public profile by creating engaging digital content and assisting with marketing campaigns. This dual-focused role also involves designing educational resources- such as fact sheets and info graphics- to effectively communicate the importance of the Foundation’s work to the community.

  • Research Internship: Investigate our core focus areas, including Climate Justice, Aboriginal Empowerment, and Housing and Homelessness, to analyse their impact on South Australian communities. Key responsibilities include conducting literature reviews, data analysis, policy reviews, and drafting reports.
