The Valley Called Hope: Memories and Music About the Fight to Decriminalise Homosexuality

6pm Doors, 6:30pm Start
Nexus Arts Venue, 68 North Terrace

Join the Don Dunstan Foundation for a special night of music and reflection on the 50th anniversary of South Australia’s historic move to decriminalise homosexuality.

Special guests will join journalist Simon Royal to explore the long and winding road to decriminalisation, while an ensemble from the Adelaide Chamber Singers will perform excerpts from the outstanding oratorio, Watershed: The Death of Dr Duncan. Performed with special permission from composer Joe Twist, this will be a rare opportunity to revisit this moving and extraordinary work.

The Don Dunstan Foundation is a non-profit organisation dedicated to fostering a just and equitable society. Established to carry on Don Dunstan’s visionary work, we empower individuals and communities to create a more inclusive world.
