Dr Nonie Brennan

Dr Nonie Brennan is an expert in homelessness prevention, innovative forms of fundraising and collective impact. The former Chief Executive Officer of All Chicago: Making Homelessness History, Dr Brennan saw a significant increase in funding with an additional $1.2 million won in federal grants in 2016 alone. In the past 15 years, there has been an overall 20% reduction in homelessness under Dr Brennan’s leadership. All Chicago currently works with a coalition of 91 agencies to end homelessness and their mission is to unite community and resources to provide housing solutions for thousands of people. They do this through emergency financial assistance, community partnerships, data analysis, training and research, all aimed at preventing and ending homelessness. Dr Brennan is the next Thinker in Residence at the Don Dunstan Foundation, visiting South Australia from the 4 – 22 November 2019.
