Migration Update Conference
Established in 2010, the Migration Update Conference aims to provide a comprehensive update about current research in South Australia on contemporary refugee and migration matters.
Migration and refugee policy issues in Australia are likely to remain high on the public agenda for the foreseeable future. These conferences are therefore designed to bring together researchers, policy makers, service providers and the broader community interested in ensuring that public debate on these issues is informed by high quality research. Bringing together research-based knowledge with policy and service delivery capability and local experience can help us understand and respond appropriately to migration-related social transformations.
The conference is an initiative of the Don Dunstan Foundation in collaboration with the late Professor Graeme Hugo AO from The University of Adelaide, Flinders University and supported by the Government of South Australia.
The annual Migration Update Conference aims to inform researchers, policy makers, service providers and the broader community on current research in local refugee and migration matters.
